It is an honored to be a new preschool director at Good Shepherd United Methodist Church – Preschool. With more than 25 years of experiences within the educational fields that includes having been at preschool, elementary school, and Junior High teacher in public and Christian school setting, and currently holding a Master Degree and a school psychology credential, my genuine love for children and a heart to invest not only in a child’s educational journey, but a desire to help these young learners to reach their full potentials in academic and explore their creativities. Knowing how important laying a strong foundation is for years to come, my heart is set to strengthen the connection between teachers and the preschool and where the families in the local communities interact with the church ministry in a true partnership. Under the new administration and staff, the Good Shepherd UMC – Preschool is presenting a new curriculum to improve educational program as well as spiritual aspects, so that you child is highly prepared for the next year he/she enters. Our teachers also encourage each child’s spiritual development through Bible stories, weekly chapel time, and special Holiday events throughout the year. Your child/children will have a great experience here at Good Shepherd Preschool where your child will feel loved.

I am delighted to work at the Good Shepherd Preschool. With more than 20 years working with preschool children, I am interested in helping them learn and discover their potential. As I watch them grow in social skills as well as improve in academic aspects, I learn to love them more and more each day. In our classroom, I encourage the children to explore and as questions beside learning to count, letters, numbers, and writing. I love to provide fun arts and crafts as well as introduce multi-sensory approaches to bring to ther learnings.

My name is Christine Glick (Ms. Christi). I have been a preschool teacher now for 25 years, also during that time I became a mom to my special needs son. From a very young age I knew I wanted to make a difference in the lives of children. Growing up my mother took foster children into our home, and I had a strong interest in helping them learn and overcome some of their difficulties. After high school I went to school for my Early Childhood Education. I love being a mom and I love working with children, helping each child, based on their individual needs, to learn and grow.

I have been teaching children ages 2-5 for eight years in the preschool and 4-5 year olds in the state preschool. I love to work with children and to help them accomplish educational skills and confidence in themselves. I am currently attending Orange Coast College working on an Associate of Arts degree in Child Development to gain more knowledge in the educational field. I love to work with little children and bring out the best in them, especially in the arts and crafts learning subjects.
